Australia’s premier bespoke engineered and manufactured solutions
Marand is a leading global supplier of precision engineering solutions to a range of industries including aerospace, defence, rail, automotive and mining. Key to our success is our capability to deliver exceptional-quality, tailored manufacturing solutions, coupled with our unrivalled in-house capacity to deliver affordable, large-scale projects.
Marand’s sophisticated manufacturing plants are located in Moorabbin and Geelong, Victoria and feature a complete range of capabilities including design, engineering, fabrication, 5 axis machining, complex assembly, electrical wiring, hydraulic and pneumatic assembly, painting and commissioning.
Marand’s highly-accredited team are skilled welders of mild steel, aluminium, invar and armour plating in both metal inert gas (MIG) and Tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding. All critical welds are certified by a third party and recorded in a quality system. We also offer small sheet metal and light fabrication work in-house.
Marand has over 65 machining centres across our facilities offerring small to large milling, turning, boring and grinding capabilities. Our extensive range of milling machines includes a newly acquired 5 Axis Breton Flymill with a capacity of 6 metres x 3.5 metres and a height of 2 metres under the bridge. This machine compliments our other 5 Axis machines and five large 3 Axis machines housed in temperature controlled facilities that enable us to achieve industry leading tolerances. These machines are serviced by cranes with a total lifting capacity of 30 tonne.
Marand has over 65 machining centres in our Moorabbin and Geelong facilities small to large Milling, turning, boring and grinding capabilities.
Marand’s four separate assembly facilities provide approximately 10,000 square metres of assembly area including the only temperature controlled aerostructures assembly facility in Australia. Large machine tools, such as our Under Floor Wheel Lathe and Hydraulic Presses, are built or reconditioned either in our main bay which has a 30 tonne overhead crane or the separate assembly plant with a 10 tonne crane. Our tool room caters for the assembly of jigs, fixtures and aerospace tooling.
Marand’s qualified A-grade electricians manufacture, install and commission all equipment to strict customer specifications. From the build of the electrical cabinet, to the final installation of cameras for operator awareness, the electrical team ensures a trouble free, safe product or machine.
Our paint facilities are temperature controlled and able to meet the stringent requirements of our blue chip customers. To ensure our products withstand a broad spectrum of conditions, regular and careful inspections, such as paint thickness on 2-pack paint, are carried out, recorded and monitored.
Marand’s dimensional metrology laboratory provides final quality control and inspection. It is one of the largest of its type in Australia and provides full calibration, traceability and testing services. We supply certification of dimensional inspection with a guarantee of accuracy through N.A.T.A accreditation compliant with ISO 17025 requirements.
All Marand’s equipment and products are backed by on-site servicing and support globally.
