Manufacturing Capabilities

Our large and well equipped manufacturing and assembly plants housed in adjacent facilities and serviced by large overhead cranes, and our expanded CAD/CAM facility, gives Marand Precision Engineering the capability to manufacture the majority of its work in-house. Supported by our established professional sub-contractor and supplier network this allows us full control of our quality and delivery schedules.

Marands manufacturing plant – where no job is too big or too small – includes:
   �  Milling – Manual, Machining Centres, through to large CNC Machines to 10m long
   �  Incorporating 3, 4 and 5 axis milling capability, palletised and high-speed spindles
   �  Turning – Toolroom lathes, CNC lathes and large turning capacity up to 2m diameter
   �  Grinding – Australia largest machines in the same facility
   �  2 axis CNC slideway grinding capacity up to 10m long by 1.8m wide and 1.5m high
   �  Planetary internal and external grinding up to approximately 1.2m diameter
   �  Cylindrical, jig and thread grinding
   �  Jig boring, Deep hole drilling
   �  Facilities for welding, cutting and fabrication of most metals up to 50 tonnes
   �  MIG, TIG and hard facing available – NDT capability in-house
   �  Vibratory stress relieving
   �  Fully serviced toolmaking, fitting and assembly areas
   �  Electronic and electrical systems development and assembly areas
   �  NATA accredited Metrology laboratory and Internal Quality Assurance Systems to ISO 9001 and AS9100 Standards
      with small to large CMM and on site CMM capability
   �  Large floor space available, fully serviced with multiple overhead cranes
   �  General contract work and specialised labour hire
